Protesting Coal-Fired Power Plants in D.C.
I was among the 2,500 or so protesters that marched to the Capitol power plant on March 2 to speak out against coal-fired power plants and call for alternative energy sources and green jobs. As I was marching, I text-messaged my 12-year-old son. I told him "I am protesting in Washington, D.C." Then when I got home, I pulled up news coverage of the event on the internet and showed him my pictures. All of a sudden, I heard a big "Ooooooh!!" out of him, of the oh-I-get-it-now variety. He looked at me so seriously and said, "I got confused between protest and prostitute!"
So if you have heard the rumor around town that I was prostituting on Capitol Hill, it simply is not true, and here is the evidence to prove it.
