Spring Break Approaching!

Spring Break is only two days away, and, quite frankly, we are all giddy as hell...faculty and students alike. It all really started around the middle of last week for a number of my students because their friends away at universities were beginning break last Friday and coming home. You can imagine, then, how distracted these students are this week, and I guess I am not helping much by throwing in library research lectures this week. Then there are a few students who are giddy as hell because they are counting down to international travels during our break; one student is heading to Japan to see her boyfriend who is in the military there, and another is heading to England and France. Of course, I am so jealous.

And what are my plans? Hmmm...I'm still trying to figure that out. I guess my plan is simply that I have no plans. Things are starting to make their way into my week, though. Good, relaxing things. I was keeping my schedule wide open for something big and exciting; I had tossed around the idea of getting away in some form, but that isn't materializing. Maybe big and exciting isn't what I need anyway right now. I'm just going to go with the flow, which at this point includes corn beef and cabbage at Dad's on St. Patrick's Day; some cycling, pilates, and/or running; maybe lunch and/or shopping in Chicago; some synthesis writing for comps; some wine, movies, friends, etc.

Not big and exciting, but just perfect, really.
