It's a Hockey Life

I am deeply in hockey mom mode these days. Both of my sons play for their high school club team, one son on the varsity team, the other on the junior varsity team. From time to time, though, the jv son plays up. Weekends are busy. This past weekend there were five games between the two of them. I made it to three of those...all in Indiana. The two I missed were down in Indy on Saturday, and apparently I missed one of the best games of my younger son's entire hockey life.

Imagine this: Roughly three minutes left in the third period. Our team (the Irish) are losing 2-3. My son scores to tie up the game! Woot! Then 21 seconds left in the game, he does it again! Game-winning goal!!

So sweet. And I'm so proud.
