Gearing Up for 30 Days of Biking!

Tomorrow begins 30 Days of Biking, and I invite you to come along for the ride. 30 days of riding your bike simply for the pure joy of it. You decide when, where, how far. All you need to do is make the (free) pledge here and then get on your bike for all thirty days in April and share your adventures on social media. #30DaysofBiking.

It's. That. Simple.

And it makes a difference. For every 30 pledges, 30 Days of Biking will donate one bicycle to Free Bikes 4 Kidz

The 30 Days of Biking story began back in 2010 when a couple of guys in Minneapolis, Patrick Stephenson and Zachariah Schaap, decided to commit to biking for the entire month of April and launched their movement on social media. That first year they attracted 300 cyclists. Today, at last count, there are 5,220 cyclists all over the world participating. Their main goal: to build a "community of joyful cyclists." This movement is about simply getting on your bike and having some fun with the hope of attracting even more people to do the same.

I have started a local chapter of 30 Days of Biking here in Bourbonnais, Illinois. You can find us on Facebook at 30 Days of Biking: Bourbonnais if you would like to be part of our geographical or virtual community, whether to ride with us or simply to cheer us on.
I'm ready.
