We have a long way to go toward living sustainable lives here in the United States. Here are just a few smart ideas straight from the Netherlands that we might want to take note of:
Recycle! Recyle! Recycle! Here are public bins for glass and newspapers.
Pay a deposit on beverage bottles (plastic and glass) and return them to the store.
Car Sharing! These Green Wheels cars are parked everywhere for use by members. You simply scan your member card and drive away!
Drive smaller cars...here is a Smart.
Bike instead of drive (and a great public transportation system certainly helps!!).
